About the Role
Yaiba Kyab Limited is seeking an energetic, commercially minded Event Centre Manager to drive business growth and oversee operations for our newly established event facility in Borno. Dedicated to hosting impactful training programmes, workshops, conferences, and symposiums, our centre requires a dynamic professional to promote the venue, forge strategic partnerships, and deliver exceptional client experiences from initial enquiry to final event breakdown.
Key Responsibilities- Identify and pursue business opportunities with corporations, NGOs, government agencies, and training providers to generate high-value leads and confirmed bookings.
- Build and maintain robust client relationships, guiding them through customized proposals, quotations, venue layouts, and operational planning.
- Coordinate seamlessly with internal technical, catering, security, and cleaning teams to ensure every event is executed flawlessly.
- Manage booking calendars, financial tracking, invoicing, and comprehensive venue performance reports for management.
- Monitor local event market trends and actively support digital marketing campaigns to enhance the centre's visibility and competitiveness.
- Proven experience in event management, venue sales, business development, or the hospitality industry.
- Must be based in Borno, Nigeria, and fall within the age bracket of 20 to 35 years.
- Exceptional sales, negotiation, communication, and customer service abilities with a track record of meeting revenue targets.
- High level of organization and attention to detail, capable of managing multiple concurrent events and tight deadlines.
- Proficiency in office productivity tools, event-management software, and CRM platforms.
- Flexibility to work occasional evenings or weekends as required by the event schedule.
