About the Role
Springfield Agro Limited is looking for a detail-oriented and dedicated ETP Operator to join our dynamic team on a full-time, on-site basis in Sagamu, Ogun State. Established in 2003, Springfield Agro is a leading provider of total farm solutions across Africa, ranging from agricultural inputs to post-harvest processing and industrial chemicals. In this role, you will play a crucial part in our sustainability efforts by ensuring our effluent treatment processes strictly adhere to environmental and safety standards while supporting our broader manufacturing operations.
Key Responsibilities- Monitor, operate, and control the Effluent Treatment Plant to ensure full compliance with environmental regulations and safety standards.
- Manage chemical dosing processes and safely handle, use, and store various treatment chemicals.
- Operate and oversee pumps, valves, filters, clarifiers, and related ETP machinery efficiently.
- Record daily operational data, maintain accurate logs, and prepare routine reports on plant performance.
- Perform regular routine inspections and basic mechanical troubleshooting to identify equipment faults promptly.
- Coordinate closely with the maintenance team to facilitate timely preventive and corrective actions.
- Support continuous improvement initiatives aimed at optimizing plant efficiency and minimizing environmental impact.
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment in compliance with company health and safety protocols.
- Minimum of a technical or vocational qualification in Environmental Science, Chemical Engineering, Industrial Chemistry, or a related field.
- Prior hands-on experience working as an ETP Operator or in industrial water treatment is a distinct advantage.
- Strong working knowledge of effluent treatment processes, water chemistry basics, and environmental compliance standards.
- Competence in operating industrial equipment such as pumps, filters, and clarifiers safely.
- Basic mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills to address minor equipment issues.
- Strict adherence to health and safety regulations, including proper chemical handling and use of personal protective equipment.
- Ability to work in shifts, stand for extended periods, and perform manual tasks in an industrial setting.
- Good communication and interpersonal skills to collaborate effectively with operations, maintenance, and quality teams.
