About the Role
Winners International Academy, a premier co-educational centre of learning situated in the heart of Bayelsa State, Nigeria, is seeking an experienced and dedicated English Language Teacher to join our dynamic secondary school faculty. Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive English Language and Literature lessons aligned with the secondary school curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and maintaining accurate records of academic performance.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment that encourages critical thinking and active participation.
- Prepare students effectively for external examinations such as WAEC, NECO, and other relevant assessments.
- Participate actively in school events, staff meetings, and professional development workshops.
- Mentor students and instill high moral standards, discipline, and ethical values.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) in English or a Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in English from a recognized institution.
- A Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE), Master of Arts (M.A), or Master of Education (M.Ed) will be considered a significant advantage.
- Minimum of 3 to 15 years of cognate teaching experience as a classroom teacher in a reputable private secondary school.
- Demonstrated high moral standards, a passionate and innovative approach to teaching, and a goal-oriented mindset.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
