About the Role
Calisa Academy is a faith-enhanced, 21st-century educational institution dedicated to raising confident and articulate learners. We are currently looking for a dedicated English Teacher to join our dynamic academic team at our Nursery and Primary School located in Ibesikpo Asutan Local Government Area, near Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, Nigeria. In this role, you will shape young minds by delivering engaging English lessons that foster strong reading, writing, and communication skills from an early age.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and interactive English language and literature lessons tailored to nursery and primary pupils.
- Develop and implement creative teaching strategies that cater to diverse learning styles and abilities.
- Assess, monitor, and record students' progress, providing constructive feedback to support their academic growth.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages active participation and moral discipline.
- Collaborate with colleagues and school management to plan school events, curriculum reviews, and extracurricular activities.
- Communicate regularly and professionally with parents regarding student performance and behavioral development.
- Possession of a B.Sc, B.Ed, or NCE in English Language, Education, or relevant fields.
- Valid Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification is an added advantage.
- Demonstrated proficiency in digital tools and modern educational technology.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills with a strong passion for child education.
