Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive English language and literature lessons aligned with both British (IGCSE) and Nigerian curricula.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support academic growth and personal development.
- Foster a positive, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment that encourages critical thinking, effective communication, and a love for literature.
- Prepare students thoroughly for national and international examinations, including WAEC, JAMB, and IGCSE.
- Collaborate with colleagues on curriculum development, lesson planning, and cross-curricular school events and competitions.
- Maintain accurate records of attendance, assignments, and grades in compliance with school policies.
- Engage proactively with parents and guardians regarding student performance, behavior, and overall development.
- Minimum of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed) or Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in English Language, Literature, or a related field; a relevant Master's degree or teaching certification is an added advantage.
- Proven professional teaching experience within a reputable secondary school setting, ideally with exposure to Cambridge or IGCSE curricula.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with the ability to inspire and connect with diverse students.
