We are currently seeking a passionate and experienced English Studies Teacher to join our dynamic team and help shape the future of our secondary students.

Key Responsibilities
  • Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive English Studies lessons in accordance with the approved Nigerian and British educational curricula.
  • Assess, monitor, record, and report on the progress, development, and attainment of students in English language and literature.
  • Foster a stimulating, safe, and inclusive classroom environment that encourages student participation and critical thinking.
  • Prepare students effectively for internal examinations as well as external examinations such as WAEC, NECO, and BECE.
  • Provide constructive feedback to students and maintain open communication with parents regarding academic performance and character development.
  • Participate collaboratively in departmental meetings, school events, professional development workshops, and extracurricular activities.
  • Uphold the core values of the school, including diligence, integrity, and high moral standards at all times.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in English, or a related discipline from a recognized institution. A Postgraduate Diploma in Education (PGDE) is an added advantage.
  • Minimum of 2 to 5 years of cognate teaching experience within a reputable secondary school environment.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills in English with a strong command of grammar and literature.
  • Demonstrated passion for teaching with a strong commitment to student development and moral upbringing.
  • Proficiency in modern educational technology and interactive teaching methods.
  • TRCN (Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria) certification is highly desirable.
