We are currently seeking a dynamic and dedicated Senior Lecturer to join our esteemed Department of Engineering, specifically within the Metallurgical and Material Engineering unit. In this role, you will inspire the next generation of engineers, conduct cutting-edge research, and contribute to the vibrant academic community of one of Nigeria's top-tier universities.
Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging lectures, seminars, and practical laboratory sessions for undergraduate and postgraduate students in Metallurgical and Material Engineering.
- Supervise undergraduate and postgraduate student research projects, theses, and dissertations.
- Conduct high-impact, peer-reviewed research and publish findings in reputable local and international academic journals.
- Participate in curriculum development, departmental administration, and academic committee meetings.
- Mentor students and provide academic counseling to support their professional and personal growth.
- Engage in community service and collaborative partnerships with industry stakeholders to advance engineering solutions in Nigeria.
- Possession of a PhD in Metallurgical and Material Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
- A minimum of five (5) years of active teaching and research experience at the university level.
- An impressive academic portfolio featuring a minimum of eight (8) peer-reviewed publications in reputable journals.
- A strong academic foundation, including a First Degree with not below a Second-Class Upper Division, or a Second-Class Lower Division combined with a PhD.
