TAAS College, Ibadan, a reputable co-educational institution established in the Islamic tradition at KM 15, Abeokuta Road, is seeking a passionate, experienced, and result-oriented English Language and Literature-in-English Teacher to join our dynamic academic team. Key Responsibilities- Teach English Language and Literature-in-English effectively across assigned secondary classes.
- Prepare comprehensive lesson plans, schemes of work, and instructional materials in line with curriculum standards.
- Assess, monitor, and evaluate students' academic progress consistently.
- Prepare students thoroughly for internal and major external examinations including WAEC and NECO.
- Organize engaging literary activities such as debates, spelling bees, public speaking, drama, and reading clubs.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, assessments, and overall performance.
- Participate actively in staff meetings, professional development programs, and school co-curricular activities.
- Bachelor's Degree in English Language, Literature-in-English, English Education, or a related discipline (B.Ed., B.A. Ed., B.A.).
- Minimum of 4 to 7 years of proven secondary school teaching experience with a strong track record of student success.
- TRCN certification and relevant teacher training certifications are strong added advantages.
- Demonstrated expertise in preparing students for WAEC, NECO, and other recognized external examinations.
- Excellent communication, classroom management, and student engagement skills.
- Residency in Ibadan or close proximity, with readiness to resume immediately.
