About the Role
Amao College, an esteemed independent co-educational day school located in the vibrant Akingbile community along Oyo Road, Ibadan, is currently seeking a passionate and qualified English Language Teacher. Key Responsibilities- Deliver well-structured and engaging English Language and Literature lessons to secondary school students in accordance with the Nigerian and British curricula.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback to support continuous improvement.
- Create a stimulating, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment that encourages active participation and critical thinking.
- Prepare students adequately for internal examinations as well as external examinations such as the BECE.
- Participate actively in departmental meetings, school events, professional development workshops, and extracurricular activities.
- Maintain effective communication with parents and guardians regarding student academic performance and behavioral development.
- Applicants must possess a minimum of a Bachelor's Degree (B.Sc, B.Tech, or B.Ed) in English Language, Education, or a related field.
- Possession of a higher degree (M.Sc or M.A) will be an added advantage.
- Proven teaching experience in a recognized secondary school setting is highly preferred.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with a strong command of the English language.
