Cedarville School, a premier mixed co-educational Christian institution situated in a serene estate in Akobo, Ibadan, Oyo State, is looking for a passionate and qualified English Language and Checkpoint English Teacher. Key Responsibilities- Deliver engaging and effective English Language and Checkpoint English lessons aligned with the approved curriculum.
- Prepare students thoroughly for internal examinations as well as relevant external Cambridge Checkpoint assessments.
- Assess, monitor, and record students' progress, providing constructive feedback to learners and parents.
- Create a stimulating, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to learning and holistic growth.
- Participate actively in school events, staff meetings, professional development workshops, and extracurricular activities.
- Collaborate with colleagues to design and improve English language learning materials and departmental strategies.
- Possession of a Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Bachelor of Arts (B.A) in English, or a related field with a relevant teaching certification (TRCN is an added advantage).
- Proven experience teaching English Language and Cambridge Checkpoint English curriculum in a reputable school.
- Strong command of the English language with exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
- Demonstrated passion for holistic child development within a Christian educational framework.
- Excellent classroom management, organizational, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to integrate modern teaching technology and interactive methods into daily lessons.
