We are currently seeking a passionate, experienced, and committed English Language and Literature Teacher to join our vibrant College team. In this role, you will deliver high-quality instruction, foster a love for literature, and empower students to excel academically in a supportive and progressive educational setting.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and effective English Language and Literature lessons aligned with the school curriculum.
- Prepare secondary students adequately for WAEC, NECO, IGCSE, and other relevant external examinations.
- Develop students' core competencies in reading, writing, grammar, comprehension, vocabulary, and critical literary analysis.
- Assess student performance regularly, provide constructive feedback, and implement targeted academic support interventions.
- Maintain accurate academic records and uphold positive classroom management standards in an inclusive learning environment.
- Collaborate with colleagues and the Head of Department to continuously improve teaching methodologies and learning outcomes.
- Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree in English, Literature-in-English, Education, or a related discipline.
- At least 3 years of proven secondary school teaching experience with a strong track record of WAEC, NECO, and IGCSE examination preparation.
- Comprehensive knowledge of modern English Language and Literature curricula and pedagogy.
- Exceptional verbal and written communication skills with strong organizational and interpersonal abilities.
- A recognized teaching qualification or professional certification will be an added advantage.
