Key Responsibilities- Teach students the fundamental principles of garment making, fashion design, and clothing construction.
- Demonstrate accurate techniques for taking body measurements and drafting simple to complex garment patterns.
- Guide students through the safe and effective operation of sewing machines, pressing tools, and cutting equipment.
- Supervise practical sewing sessions, ensuring proper stitching, cutting, and finishing standards are met.
- Develop engaging lesson plans that balance theoretical fashion knowledge with hands-on practical experience.
- Assess student progress, provide constructive feedback, and encourage originality and creativity in design projects.
- Maintain a safe, organized, and inspiring learning environment in the garment workshop or classroom.
- Minimum of an OND, NCE, or equivalent certification in Fashion Design, Garment Making, or a related field.
- Proven professional experience in sewing, pattern drafting, and clothing construction.
- Demonstrated ability to teach and manage students of varying skill levels with patience and enthusiasm.
- Strong communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
