About the Role
Appzone Limited is a leading provider of innovative IT software and infrastructure for the financial services industry in Africa. We are currently looking for a dynamic Engineering Specialist in Offensive Security to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will play a critical part in protecting our advanced banking and payment platforms by proactively identifying vulnerabilities and enhancing our overall cybersecurity posture.
Key Responsibilities- Identify vulnerabilities and exposures within enterprise networks, systems, and applications.
- Lead and conduct authorized penetration testing on enterprise network assets, new applications, and wireless networks.
- Perform comprehensive technical and non-technical risk assessments of local computing environments and infrastructure.
- Develop custom test scenarios, perform threat hunts, and analyze threat trends to identify indicators of compromise.
- Design and develop new cybersecurity tools and technologies while creating specific countermeasures and risk mitigation strategies.
- Provide detailed technical documents, incident reports, and actionable recommendations to relevant stakeholders.
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in offensive security, preferably within the fintech or financial services sector.
- Strong expertise in web security, application security, and red team operations.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work independently and mentor junior team members is a strong advantage.
