About the Role
Perfetti Van Melle, a global leader in the confectionery industry and producer of beloved brands like Mentos and Chupa Chups, is looking for a dynamic Engineering Shift Executive to join our manufacturing operations in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will oversee shift engineering activities, drive equipment reliability, and lead a dedicated technical team to support our high-volume production lines.
Key Responsibilities- Develop and implement maintenance standards, schedules, and programs while guiding maintenance crews on effective execution.
- Lead, direct, and mentor shift team members to foster a high-performance culture and support professional growth.
- Ensure continuous availability and optimal performance of process and packaging machinery for seamless production.
- Resolve on-shift technical issues promptly and investigate equipment failures to prevent reoccurrence.
- Ensure timely execution of Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) and log all maintenance activities in CMMS MAXIMO.
- Collaborate with key stakeholders to identify, discuss, and propose lasting solutions to recurring engineering challenges.
- Maintain strict team discipline and ensure full compliance with Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) regulations.
- Minimum of an HND or BSc in Mechanical Engineering or Electrical/Electronics Engineering.
- 5 to 8 years of post-NYSC relevant work experience, preferably within the food and beverage or FMCG manufacturing industry.
- At least 3 years of proven experience leading high-performing technical teams.
- Solid understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and machine maintenance strategies.
- Demonstrated success in ensuring equipment reliability and driving continuous improvement initiatives.
