About the Role
Mikano International is a premier leader in power generation and manufacturing in Nigeria, committed to delivering reliable electrical solutions. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Generator Site Operator to join our dynamic technical team and ensure uninterrupted power supply across our operations.
Key Responsibilities- Operate and monitor diesel or gas generators to ensure uninterrupted power supply.
- Start, stop, and regulate generator systems according to operational needs.
- Perform routine inspections of generators, fuel levels, oil levels, and cooling systems.
- Carry out basic maintenance such as oil changes, filter replacement, and cleaning of generator parts.
- Detect and troubleshoot faults or irregularities in generator performance.
- Keep accurate logs of generator operations, fuel consumption, and maintenance activities.
- Ensure proper fuel storage and manage refueling processes safely.
- Respond promptly to power outages and restore supply efficiently.
- Maintain safety standards and follow operational procedures at all times.
- Coordinate with maintenance teams or engineers for major repairs.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and environmental regulations.
- Monitor load capacity and prevent overloading of generators.
- B.Sc, HND, OND, or Trade Test in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of proven hands-on experience in generator operations and maintenance.
- Strong troubleshooting and mechanical aptitude.
- Ability to work independently and respond swiftly to emergencies.
