About the Role
Moniepoint is a leading financial technology company digitising Africa’s real economy by building a comprehensive financial ecosystem for businesses. We provide payment, banking, credit, and business management tools that empower enterprises to succeed. We are currently looking for an Engineering Relations Partner to join our dynamic Corporate Affairs and R&D teams. In this role, you will work closely with our talented engineering teams to tell the story of what we are building in a language that other expert engineers deeply understand. This is a content execution position where you will translate technical achievements into high-quality narratives that earn genuine respect in global engineering communities, secure spots at top-tier conferences, and attract exceptional engineering talent.
Key Responsibilities- Translate complex engineering builds and learnings into compelling, highly credible technical narratives.
- Collaborate directly with software engineers as a peer to uncover unique, shareable stories from day-to-day operations.
- Secure speaking engagements by writing winning conference talk abstracts and proposals for recognized industry events.
- Create engaging technical content such as blog posts, articles, and video scripts in partnership with creative teams.
- Proactively spot interesting technical developments across infrastructure, fintech, and high-scale systems without waiting for assignments.
- Engage authentically with global developer communities to enhance Moniepoint's engineering brand presence.
- A strong background in software engineering, computer science, or a related technical field with professional coding experience.
- Prior experience working in fintech, infrastructure, or high-scale engineering environments.
- Exceptional writing and communication skills, demonstrating clarity, precision, and the ability to articulate complex ideas.
- Proven ability to manage multiple writing and community projects independently in a fully remote work environment.
- Strong plus: Experience in developer relations, technical community management, or writing accepted conference talk abstracts.
- Strong plus: Established presence in engineering communities through personal blogs, open-source contributions, or public speaking.
