About the Role

As a Senior Backend Engineer, you will build sophisticated event-driven microservices with real-world impact, owning your solutions end-to-end from architecture decisions to production monitoring.
Key Responsibilities- Design, develop, and maintain scalable event-driven microservices using C# and .NET.
- Own the entire software lifecycle, including supporting infrastructure, from inception through production to decommissioning under a DevOps culture.
- Implement robust automated testing across all environments, including production.
- Utilize observability tools such as Prometheus and Grafana to ensure high system reliability and performance.
- Leverage AI coding tools, including Claude Code, to optimize the engineering workflow.
- Collaborate with diverse, cross-functional teams across the UK, Europe, and Africa.
- Strong grasp and proven professional experience in C# .NET development.
- Hands-on experience with event-driven systems and messaging technologies like Azure Service Bus, Kafka, or RabbitMQ.
- Demonstrated expertise in microservices architecture design and implementation.
- Experience working with Azure or other major cloud providers such as AWS or GCP.
- Familiarity with containerization and orchestration tools including Kubernetes and Docker.
- Strong DevOps mindset with experience in infrastructure as code and continuous delivery.
- Initial 12-month Fixed Term Contract, with potential to extend or transition into a permanent role.
