About the Role
Emzor Pharmaceutical Industries Limited is a leading indigenous pharmaceutical manufacturing group dedicated to delivering high-quality healthcare products across Nigeria and West Africa. We are currently seeking a dynamic and results-driven Engineering Procurement Lead to bridge our engineering, production, and external supply networks. In this critical role, you will oversee strategic technical sourcing, manage complex engineering projects, and ensure the highest standards of regulatory compliance and cost optimization.
Key Responsibilities- Interpret complex technical specifications in collaboration with internal engineering and production teams.
- Source, evaluate, and qualify industrial vendors while conducting rigorous technical bid assessments.
- Manage end-to-end procurement processes including PR, RFQ, contract negotiations, PO creation, and award.
- Ensure stringent regulatory compliance with SON, NAFDAC, ISO, and cGMP standards across all suppliers.
- Monitor vendor performance, track delivery metrics, and conduct periodic supplier audits with Quality Assurance.
- Drive cost optimization initiatives by negotiating favorable pricing, payment terms, and warranties to reduce Total Cost of Ownership.
- Analyze market trends, coordinate optimal reorder levels, and manage general industrial spares and cleanroom requirements.
- Bachelor’s Degree or HND in Mechanical Engineering or Industrial Engineering.
- Minimum of 6 years of proven experience in procurement or supply chain management within Pharmaceutical, FMCG, or Biotech industries.
- Demonstrated expertise in purchasing engineering, quality equipment, HVAC systems, and water treatment plants.
- Proficiency in enterprise resource planning systems such as Oracle, alongside advanced Microsoft Excel skills.
- Strong contract negotiation abilities, including the capacity to establish robust Service Level Agreements (SLAs).
