About the Role
Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is a premier provider of technical staffing, inspection, and engineering services to the Nigerian oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Process Engineer II to join our expanding engineering team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing complex capital projects, ensuring adherence to global best practices, and delivering high-quality technical solutions for our esteemed clients.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a design team in developing basic process design specifications and oversee engineering contractors' technical deliverables during front-end design and detailed engineering phases.
- Monitor and guide junior engineers in creating heat and material balances, design flow plans, process equipment design, and utility balances.
- Conduct process optimization studies to identify capital and operating cost savings, process configurations, and safety facility requirements.
- Provide technical oversight for engineering contractors to ensure alignment with company guidelines, project specifications, and owner requirements.
- Participate actively in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) reviews for new or modified facilities.
- Deliver commissioning and start-up assistance for newly installed or upgraded plant facilities as required.
- Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related discipline is required.
- Demonstrated professional experience within the petroleum refining, chemical process industry, or with an engineering contractor serving these sectors.
- Strong background in capital project development and process design methodologies.
- Exceptional ability to manage tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and shifting priorities effectively.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and relevant process engineering software.
- Fluency in written and spoken English with exceptional technical and business communication skills.
