About the Role
Seven Up Bottling Company, one of the leading multinational manufacturing companies in Nigeria and producer of iconic global beverage brands, is looking for a dynamic and results-driven Maintenance Engineer to join our vibrant technical team. In this critical role, you will oversee plant machinery, ensure minimal downtime, and drive operational excellence across our high-speed beverage bottling lines.
Key Responsibilities- Manage and coordinate all day-to-day electrical and mechanical maintenance operations for high-speed beverage bottling and packaging lines.
- Develop and implement proactive preventive maintenance schedules to maximize equipment uptime and extend asset lifespan.
- Lead root-cause analysis for equipment failures and execute immediate corrective actions to resolve recurring technical issues.
- Supervise, mentor, and evaluate the performance of shift engineers, technicians, and junior maintenance personnel.
- Enforce strict health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards and compliance protocols across all engineering operations.
- Manage spare parts inventory, procurement requests, and vendor relationships to maintain optimal stock levels without exceeding budgets.
- Collaborate with production and quality assurance teams to optimize line efficiency, product quality, and overall plant output.
- Bachelor degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 8 to 10 years of hands-on operation and maintenance experience within a fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) manufacturing environment.
- At least 3 years of proven experience in a managerial or senior leadership role specifically within beverage bottling plants.
- In-depth technical knowledge of pneumatics, hydraulics, PLC programming, and high-speed packaging machinery.
