About the Role
Eastern Plains Integrated Farms Limited (EPIFL) is a leading integrated agribusiness enterprise based in Igbariam, Anambra State, Nigeria, specializing in large-scale poultry production to meet the nation's growing protein needs. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Engineering Officer (Mechanical/Electrical) to join our dynamic team and ensure the seamless operation of our farm and processing machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Perform installation, routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and prompt repair of mechanical and electrical equipment across all poultry farms and processing facilities.
- Execute preventive and corrective maintenance on critical assets including motors, pumps, heavy-duty generators, automated feeding systems, ventilation units, refrigeration systems, and control panels.
- Diagnose complex mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic faults to minimize operational downtime and equipment failure.
- Conduct basic metal fabrication, welding, and structural repairs as required for facility upkeep.
- Manage plumbing and water distribution systems, maintaining pipes, valves, overhead tanks, and automated watering lines.
- Inspect infrastructure regularly, maintain accurate spare parts inventories, and uphold strict adherence to workplace health and safety standards.
- Bachelor's degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a closely related discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of hands-on experience in equipment maintenance, preferably within the agribusiness, poultry, manufacturing, or food processing sectors.
- Relevant Trade Test Certifications in welding, plumbing, refrigeration, or electrical works will be an added advantage.
