About the Role
The Katsina State Government invites applications from suitably qualified and dynamic professionals for the position of Engineer II (Civil) on Grade Level 08. As one of the most populous states in Nigeria, Katsina is undergoing rapid infrastructural transformation, and this role offers a vital opportunity to contribute to sustainable public works, road networks, and water resource projects within the region.
Key Responsibilities- Assist in the design, planning, and supervision of civil engineering projects including roads, drainage, and public buildings.
- Conduct site inspections and ensure compliance with engineering standards, safety regulations, and project specifications.
- Prepare technical reports, bill of quantities, and cost estimates for proposed state infrastructure.
- Collaborate with senior engineers and multidisciplinary government teams to execute public works efficiently.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and monitor the progress of ongoing construction activities across the state.
- Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering from a recognized and accredited institution.
- Must be fully registrable or registered with the Council for the Regulation of Engineering in Nigeria (COREN).
- Must possess a mandatory NYSC discharge or exemption certificate.
- Must be an indigene of Katsina State, aged between 18 and 49 years.
- Must successfully pass the competitive merit-based recruitment test.
- Secure and pensionable employment within the Katsina State Civil Service on Grade Level 08.
