About the Role
Klar Management Consult is recruiting a skilled Distribution Network Technician on behalf of our client, Telmek Global Resources, to support the operation and maintenance of vital power infrastructure. This field-based role focuses on ensuring the reliability and safety of 11kV electricity distribution networks across Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Install, inspect, maintain, and repair 11kV overhead distribution lines, poles, conductors, and surge arresters.
- Execute the laying, inspection, jointing, and termination of 11kV underground cables.
- Maintain Ring Main Units (RMUs), switchgear, circuit breakers, and transformer connections.
- Conduct routine network patrols, preventive maintenance, and emergency fault diagnoses.
- Perform electrical testing such as insulation resistance, continuity, and phase checks.
- Ensure strict compliance with electrical safety standards, permit-to-work procedures, and HSE policies.
- ND, HND, or equivalent in Electrical Engineering, Power Systems, or a related discipline.
- Minimum of 7 years of relevant experience in 11kV electricity distribution network operations.
- Proven expertise in both overhead line maintenance and underground medium-voltage cable systems.
- Strong knowledge of cable jointing, termination, RMUs, and switchgear operations.
- Valid technical and safety certifications are a strong advantage.
