About the Role
Emergency Response Africa (ERA) is an innovative healthcare technology company dedicated to transforming emergency medical services across Nigeria. By integrating intelligent dispatch technology with rapid medical response and alternative transportation, we provide life-saving care when every second counts. We are currently seeking a dedicated and compassionate Emergency Medical Dispatcher to join our dynamic team in Ikeja on a hybrid contract basis.
Key Responsibilities- Receive, triage, and prioritize emergency calls with speed, empathy, and absolute professionalism.
- Gather critical incident information from distressed callers while maintaining a calm and reassuring demeanor.
- Utilize advanced dispatch software to coordinate and deploy appropriate medical response teams and transport vehicles.
- Maintain clear, continuous communication with field responders, healthcare facilities, and internal supervisors.
- Accurately document all incident details, call logs, and operational data adhering to strict quality protocols.
- Collaborate closely with medical personnel and tech teams to continuously improve response workflows.
- Minimum of a high school diploma or equivalent; relevant certifications in CPR, first aid, or emergency dispatch are a strong plus.
- Prior experience in a call center, healthcare setting, or emergency response environment is highly advantageous.
- Exceptional active listening and verbal communication skills, with proven ability to stay calm under intense pressure.
- Proficiency in using computer systems, databases, and modern dispatch software.
- Strong situational awareness, rapid decision-making skills, and meticulous attention to detail.
- Flexibility to work in rotating shifts, including nights, weekends, and holidays.
