About the Role
Pacific Drilling S.A. is a rapidly growing offshore drilling company providing global ultra-deepwater drilling services to the oil and natural gas industry using high-specification drillships. We operate one of the newest and most technologically advanced fleets in the world, remaining dedicated to safety, integrity, and customer service. We are currently looking for a qualified Electronics Technician to join our dynamic team in Nigeria.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance, troubleshooting, and repairs on all electronic systems and equipment on board.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies during offshore operations.
- Coach, motivate, and mentor junior team members to develop their technical skills and knowledge.
- Collaborate with diverse operational groups to resolve conflicts and maintain seamless vessel performance.
- Complete all mandatory training requirements within the designated time periods.
- Recognized trade qualification from a technical college, apprenticeship, or equivalent.
- Senior School Certificate Examination (SSCE), WAEC, or GCE O'Level, with OND, HND, or B.Sc. preferred.
- Minimum of 5 years of documented experience as an Electronics Technician on a Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit (MODU).
- Valid Flag State Maintenance Supervisor license.
- Superior troubleshooting skills with strong written and verbal communication abilities.
- Must be a Nigerian resident currently residing in Nigeria with fluent English proficiency.
