About the Role
Scruples Resources, a leading provider of consultancy services and human resource solutions in Nigeria, is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Electromechanical Technician. In this vital role, you will support our engineering and reliability teams by ensuring all technical procedures, assemblies, and equipment meet the highest standards of accuracy, safety, and operational efficiency across various sectors of the Nigerian economy.
Key Responsibilities- Review assembly, disassembly, and test procedures to ensure absolute accuracy and regulatory compliance.
- Configure and operate test stations, systems, and related electromechanical equipment.
- Analyze environmental test data, diagnose equipment malfunctions, and perform effective fault troubleshooting.
- Collaborate with Engineering and Reliability teams to set up experiments and accurately record test results.
- Test, evaluate, maintain, and repair general-purpose test equipment on a regular basis.
- Provide technical guidance, mentorship, and coaching to junior technicians within your core areas of competence.
- Perform all daily tasks in strict compliance with Health, Safety and Environment (HS&E) policies and procedures.
- Minimum of a 3-year technical diploma, Associate Degree, or higher in Electrical, Mechanical, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
- 2 to 7 years of proven, relevant electro-mechanical hands-on experience.
- Strong, demonstrable knowledge of electronic equipment maintenance and advanced soldering techniques.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints, wiring diagrams, assembly drawings, and parts lists.
- Familiarity with measurement and gauging equipment, processes, and precision tools.
- Hands-on experience utilizing multimeters, megohmmeters, hi-pot testers, and other specialized electrical test instruments.
- Strong written and verbal English communication skills for effective team collaboration.
