About the Role

Nasom Limited is a premier indigenous Oilfield Services Provider and EPCM company renowned for delivering excellence across the Nigerian maritime and energy sectors. We are currently seeking a dedicated and skilled Electro Technical Officer (ETO) to join our dynamic marine operations team. In this pivotal role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal performance, safety, and reliability of all electrical, electronic, and control systems on our vessels, contributing directly to our mission of operational excellence and strict adherence to industry standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Operate, maintain, and troubleshoot all shipboard electrical and electronic systems, including power generation, distribution, and propulsion controls.
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on navigation equipment, communication systems, and automation networks.
  • Ensure full compliance with international maritime regulations, environmental laws, and company safety management systems.
  • Coordinate with the Chief Engineer and master of the vessel for timely repairs, spare parts requisition, and electrical project execution.
  • Maintain accurate logs of electrical maintenance, equipment faults, and inventory levels while upholding high safety standards.

Qualifications
  • Possession of a relevant maritime certification or valid Certificate of Competency (CoC).
  • Up-to-date and valid STCW certification meeting international maritime standards.
  • Demonstrated relevant sea-going experience as an Electro Technical Officer or in a similar marine engineering capacity.
  • Valid medical fitness certificate from an approved practitioner.
  • Strong working knowledge of maritime safety regulations, troubleshooting methodologies, and electrical maintenance best practices.
