About the Role
Pacific International Drilling S.A. is a rapidly growing global offshore drilling company operating some of the world's most advanced ultra-deepwater drillships. We are currently looking for a skilled and dedicated Electrician to join our dynamic team in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will ensure the optimal performance and safety of all electrical installations and equipment on our state-of-the-art vessels, contributing to our reputation for operational excellence and reliability in the oil and gas industry.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of all electrical systems, equipment, and machinery on board the drillship.
- Ensure all electrical operations comply with international maritime standards, company safety policies, and environmental regulations.
- Coordinate with the engineering team to diagnose complex technical issues and implement effective long-term solutions.
- Mentor, coach, and motivate junior crew members to enhance their technical knowledge and adherence to safety protocols.
- Maintain accurate maintenance logs, inventory records, and safety documentation using computerized management systems.
- Minimum of 5 years of demonstrated or documented experience working as an Electrician on a Mobile Offshore Drilling Unit (MODU).
- Completion of all required technical and safety training within the designated timeframes.
- Possession of a Flag State Maintenance Supervisor license if working on dynamic positioning (DP) vessels.
- Exceptional troubleshooting skills combined with strong leadership and team-building capabilities.
- Clear written and verbal communication skills with the ability to resolve conflicts and collaborate with diverse offshore teams.
