About the Role
International Facilities Services Limited (IFS) is a leading global facilities management company delivering cost-effective, end-to-end hard and soft maintenance solutions. Through our partnership with FSI UK and advanced CAFM technology, we provide top-tier services across Nigeria, Ghana, South Africa, and the Middle East. We are currently looking for a dedicated Electrical Technician to join our dynamic engineering team in maintaining our high-footfall commercial sites.
Key Responsibilities- Carry out scheduled Planned Preventive Maintenance (PPM) on HV and LV distribution boards, panels, transformers, and switchgear.
- Inspect, test, and maintain earthing and bonding systems to ensure full statutory compliance and safety.
- Perform diagnostics and repairs on LV electrical faults while supporting HV fault investigations under senior supervision.
- Manage emergency lighting system testing, including battery backup units, for continuous operational readiness.
- Support the seamless integration of electrical distribution with standby power systems like generators, ATS/AMF panels, and UPS.
- Utilize the facility CMMS/CAFM platform to log maintenance activities, track defect reports, and manage parts requisition.
- Respond promptly to out-of-hours electrical emergency call-outs in a 24/7 active environment.
- Strictly adhere to safe isolation, LOTO, and permit-to-work procedures at all times.
- OND, HND, or Trade Certificate in Electrical/Electronics Engineering or a related technical discipline.
- 3 to 6 years of hands-on commercial or industrial electrical maintenance experience.
- Strong working knowledge of LV and HV distribution systems, transformers, and emergency lighting.
- Possession of HV authorization/certification is an added advantage.
- Proficiency in using CMMS/CAFM software for maintenance logging.
