About the Role
Innov8 Hub is a dynamic non-profit organization dedicated to empowering startups and innovators by providing expert support, advanced technology, and fabrication facilities to solve critical local challenges in Nigeria. We are currently seeking a skilled and dedicated Electrical Technician to join our state-of-the-art facility. In this role, you will be instrumental in maintaining our building infrastructure, wiring, and advanced equipment, ensuring a safe, functional, and efficient environment for groundbreaking innovation.
Key Responsibilities- Install new wiring, control panels, circuits, and electrical components accurately using blueprints and technical schematics.
- Diagnose electrical malfunctions and power failures efficiently using advanced diagnostic instruments such as multimeters, clamp meters, and voltmeters.
- Perform routine preventive maintenance, thorough inspections, and component cleanings on motors, breakers, and switchgear.
- Strictly adhere to local electrical codes, regulations, and safety protocols, including Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) and personal protective equipment (PPE) standards.
- Maintain clear, organized logs of all repairs, routine maintenance schedules, and equipment upgrades.
- Ordinary National Diploma (OND) or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering Technology, Electrical/Electronics Engineering, or a recognized technical training certification/apprenticeship.
- 3 to 6 years of proven, hands-on professional experience working with complex electrical systems and infrastructure.
- Strong technical proficiency in reading blueprints, operating power tools, and applying core electrical theory.
- Excellent physical stamina, manual dexterity, and proper color vision necessary for handling color-coded wiring, lifting, and climbing.
- Demonstrated experience in solar installation and maintenance will be considered a significant added advantage.
