About the Role

Flour Mills of Nigeria Plc (FMN Holdings Limited) is looking for a dedicated and experienced Auto Electrician to join our dynamic technical team in Lagos. In this role, you will play a critical part in ensuring that the electrical systems and components of our forklifts and other mobile equipment remain in optimal working condition to support our large-scale manufacturing operations. You will be responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, and repairing a variety of equipment, ensuring maximum uptime and adherence to safety standards.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out routine, planned, and preventive electrical maintenance and repairs on all company forklifts and mobile equipment.
  • Perform daily routine checks on operational forklifts to identify and resolve potential issues early.
  • Troubleshoot and rectify complex electrical faults, including diagnosing and fixing starter motors and alternators.
  • Ensure forklift batteries are properly maintained and in good working condition at all times.
  • Maintain all electrical safety units on equipment in strict compliance with industry regulations.
  • Service and repair PMS, AGO, and battery-powered equipment efficiently.
  • Promote autonomous maintenance through consistent electrical inspections and adherence to best practices.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and generate comprehensive service reports for all maintenance activities.

Qualifications
  • Minimum of 5 O’level credits, including Mathematics and English, obtained in not more than two sittings.
  • Alternative technical certifications such as NABTEB, City & Guilds, or WAEC Technical.
  • At least 2 years of relevant hands-on experience in electrical maintenance, preferably within a heavy industrial or manufacturing environment.
  • Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills in heavy equipment electrical systems.
  • Excellent attention to detail with strong reporting and documentation capabilities.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure, manage heavy workloads, and operate with minimal supervision.
  • Sound knowledge of safety practices in industrial electrical maintenance.
