Key Responsibilities- Install, maintain, troubleshoot, and repair electrical systems, wiring, fixtures, and equipment across the school campus.
- Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance of all electrical installations to prevent downtime.
- Diagnose electrical faults promptly and carry out necessary repairs to lighting systems, sockets, switches, and distribution boards.
- Monitor electrical equipment to identify potential safety risks and ensure full compliance with regulatory standards.
- Assist with electrical installations and modifications during construction or facility improvement projects.
- Respond swiftly to electrical emergencies and breakdowns to ensure the continuous safety of students and staff.
- Maintain accurate records of electrical maintenance, repairs, and inventory of replacement components.
- Collaborate effectively with the broader Facilities and Maintenance team to resolve general building issues.
- OND, HND, or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering, Electrical Installation, or a related field.
- Relevant technical certification or trade qualification will be an added advantage.
- Minimum of 5 years of proven experience in electrical maintenance within a school, commercial, residential, or hospitality environment.
- Sound knowledge of electrical systems, troubleshooting techniques, and fault diagnosis.
- Ability to read and interpret basic electrical drawings and diagrams accurately.
- Strong understanding of electrical safety practices, procedures, and the use of testing equipment.
