About the Role
Taghini Foods, a leading traditional poultry processing company based in Ibadan, is looking for a dedicated and proactive Electrical Technician to join our dynamic agro-manufacturing team. We specialize in supplying fresh and frozen poultry products to wholesalers, caterers, and further processors, including Halal-certified options. In this vital role, you will ensure the seamless operation of all electrical infrastructure supporting our farm, modern abattoir, cold chain units, and administrative buildings along the Lagos-Ibadan Expressway.
Key Responsibilities- Perform routine preventive and corrective maintenance on all electrical equipment across the farm, abattoir, and cold chain facilities.
- Troubleshoot, diagnose, and repair electrical faults efficiently to minimize operational downtime.
- Monitor the performance of power generation, distribution systems, and automated processing machinery.
- Ensure strict compliance with safety standards, electrical codes, and company operational policies.
- Maintain accurate logs of all electrical maintenance activities, repairs, and inventory of spare parts.
- Collaborate with production and maintenance teams to execute facility upgrades and new installations.
- Hold an OND in Electrical Engineering, a recognized Technician Certificate, or equivalent vocational qualification.
- Possess 1 to 3 years of hands-on professional experience working with industrial electrical equipment.
- Strong problem-solving abilities with the capacity to work independently and with minimal supervision.
- Effective communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills to collaborate across departments.
- Must currently reside within Ibadan, specifically around the Challenge to Odo-Ona Kekere axis, or demonstrate a genuine willingness to relocate.
