About the Role
Steron Mining Company Limited is seeking a dedicated and skilled Geologist to join our growing team in Nigeria. In this role, you will be instrumental in executing field investigations, mineral exploration, and providing vital geological support to our active mining operations.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct detailed geological mapping, field investigations, and mineral exploration and sampling.
- Perform core and chip logging alongside comprehensive geological data management.
- Identify and characterize orebodies, and execute precise grade control and ore-waste delineation.
- Develop accurate geological models and interpretations while maintaining strict QA/QC procedures for all geological samples.
- Provide reliable mine-site geological support and collaborate closely with Mining and Production teams.
- Generate accurate geological reports and documentation while demonstrating the resilience to work effectively in challenging field environments.
- B.Sc. or B.Tech. in Geology, Applied Geology, Exploration Geology, or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated relevant field and mining geology experience, with practical exposure to Lithium, Copper, Zinc, or Lead.
- Strong technical competencies in geological modelling and mine-site support.
- Proficiency in geological and mining software such as Surpac, Leapfrog, Micromine, ArcGIS, or QGIS is an added advantage.
