About the Role
Dangote Cement Plc is currently seeking a dynamic, results-driven Electrical Manager - Power Plant to join our esteemed team in Nigeria. In this critical leadership role, you will oversee the comprehensive maintenance of our power plant electrical systems, ensuring minimal downtime, optimal machinery performance, and strict adherence to safety and environmental standards.
Key Responsibilities- Provide advanced electrical engineering expertise for gas turbine power plant equipment including transformers, generators, motors, relays, and cables.
- Inspect electrical systems, equipment, and components to identify hazards, defects, and necessary adjustments or repairs.
- Generate and prioritize work orders, assigning tasks to skilled maintenance staff and directing resolution of complex technical issues.
- Devise and implement preventive maintenance (PM) schedules for all critical equipment in alignment with OEM recommendations.
- Oversee procurement actions for essential spare parts and equipment to ensure seamless operational continuity.
- Prioritize personnel safety and health while enforcing high standards of housekeeping during all maintenance operations.
- Drive discipline, continuous skill enhancement, and motivation among subordinates.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering.
- A minimum of fifteen (15) years of hands-on work experience in a Gas Turbine-based power plant.
- Comprehensive knowledge of electrical maintenance, generators, transformers, AVR, compressors, and auxiliary equipment.
- Demonstrated proficiency in modern electrical systems, analytical problem-solving, and MS Office applications.
- Exceptional oral and written communication skills with a proven ability to lead and motivate multidisciplinary teams.
