About the Role
Homeland Integrated Offshore Services Limited is a leading indigenous multidisciplinary organization delivering world-class Engineering, Procurement, Construction, and Installation services to the oil and gas sector in Nigeria. We are currently seeking a diligent and safety-conscious Electrical Engineering Technician I to join our dynamic team. In this role, you will play a critical part in supporting field electrical maintenance, ensuring operational integrity, and enforcing strict safety protocols across our offshore projects.
Key Responsibilities- Support field electrical maintenance work and manage electrical isolation using Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures for lighting, HVAC systems, and motor maintenance.
- Verify and issue electrical work permits to contractors, ensuring strict adherence to safety standards.
- Supervise contractors to guarantee safe working conditions and immediately intervene in any unsafe acts.
- Participate actively in Job Safety Analysis (JSA) reviews with contractors prior to project execution.
- Monitor contractor work quality closely against Maintenance Procedures & Practices (MPP) to prevent costly reworks.
- Provide daily progress updates to the First Line Supervisor (FLS) and project planner.
- Obtain formal FLS approval before implementing any changes to scheduled work plans.
- Verify and formally accept completed jobs handed over by contractors.
- Proven professional experience in a closely related electrical engineering technician role within the oil and gas industry.
- Discipline-appropriate professional certifications or equivalent demonstrable field experience.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills with the ability to articulate field conditions and remediation steps clearly.
- Demonstrated team player capabilities with experience coordinating tasks across cross-functional teams without direct authority.
- High adaptability to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequently changing priorities.
- Proficiency in using the Microsoft Office suite for reporting and daily operations.
