About the Role
Sagar Vitaceuticals Nigeria Limited is a leading household name in the Nigerian pharmaceutical and healthcare industry, renowned for popular brands such as Vitaclox, Vitacillin, and Inbu. Operating from our ultra-modern, GMP-compliant manufacturing facility in Ikeja, Lagos, we are dedicated to delivering quality and affordable healthcare products to consumers. We are currently looking for a dedicated and experienced Electrical Engineer to guarantee the safe, efficient, and uninterrupted operation of our electrical systems, power distribution networks, and automated pharmaceutical machinery.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee and maintain High Tension (HT) and Low Tension (LT) power distribution networks, transformers, large Diesel Generator sets, and high-capacity UPS systems to prevent disruptions on sensitive production lines.
- Execute rigorous preventive, predictive, and breakdown maintenance for critical pharmaceutical manufacturing equipment, including tablet presses, blister packing machines, compounding vessels, and HVAC systems.
- Manage electrical operations for essential plant utilities, ensuring optimal performance of boilers, water purification plants, and effluent treatment facilities.
- Ensure all engineering activities and modifications strictly adhere to pharmaceutical GMP/cGMP guidelines, cleanroom protocols, and Nigerian electrical safety standards.
- Maintain comprehensive, audit-ready engineering records including single-line diagrams, equipment history logs, preventive maintenance checklists, and change control documentation.
- Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), Bachelor of Engineering (B.E.), Bachelor of Technology (B.Tech), or Higher National Diploma (HND) in Electrical Engineering or Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
- Minimum of 3 to 8 years of hands-on industrial maintenance experience, with a strong background in a pharmaceutical formulation (solid or sterile dosage) or chemical manufacturing facility.
- Demonstrated expertise in troubleshooting automated production machinery, high-voltage power systems, and complex utility setups.
- In-depth knowledge of local safety regulations, electrical codes, and statutory compliance within a manufacturing plant.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills with high attention to detail.
