About the Role

Amel International Services Limited was incorporated on the 15th of June, 1987 as a private limited company to engage in the manufacture of a range of food products, basically baking lines and breakfast cereals. We are currently looking for a hands-on and experienced Electrical Engineer to join our dynamic Engineering and Maintenance Team in Lagos. The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring equipment reliability, plant efficiency, electrical safety, and minimal production downtime across our manufacturing lines.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design, build, install, and maintain industrial electrical control panels.
  • Install, monitor, and maintain three-phase industrial electric motors.
  • Diagnose and resolve electrical faults affecting production equipment promptly.
  • Provide reliable technical support to the Maintenance and Production teams.
  • Execute comprehensive preventive and corrective electrical maintenance schedules.
  • Evaluate electrical systems and implement necessary improvements, upgrades, and modifications.
  • Support initiatives to improve overall plant efficiency and reduce energy consumption.
  • Respond swiftly to equipment breakdowns to minimize production downtime.
  • Maintain accurate electrical maintenance logs and equipment records.
  • Ensure strict compliance with industry electrical safety standards and regulatory procedures.
Qualifications
  • B.Sc. or HND in Electrical Engineering, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • 3 to 5 years of relevant industrial or manufacturing electrical maintenance experience.
  • Prior experience in the FMCG or manufacturing sector is a distinct advantage.
  • Strong working knowledge of three-phase motors, electrical control panels, and complex industrial electrical systems.
  • Proven ability to troubleshoot electrical faults and accurately read electrical drawings and schematics.
  • Demonstrated experience in implementing preventive and corrective maintenance programs.
  • Strong problem-solving, teamwork, and interpersonal communication skills.
  • Highly safety-conscious and capable of thriving in a fast-paced production environment.
