About the Role
Tincan Island Container Terminal (TICT) is a leading multinational port operator committed to redefining maritime operations in Nigeria through efficiency, safety, and valued customer service. We are currently seeking a dedicated and qualified Electrical Crane Technician to join our dynamic engineering team at our facility in Apapa, Lagos. In this role, you will play a critical part in minimizing equipment downtime and ensuring the seamless execution of container terminal operations.
Key Responsibilities- Perform electrical preventive and corrective maintenance on port cranes in strict accordance with OEM specifications.
- Diagnose and troubleshoot electrical faults promptly when equipment breakdowns occur to restore functionality.
- Requisition and collect necessary spare parts for ongoing repairs and routine maintenance tasks.
- Prepare comprehensive progress and completion reports for all maintenance work and submit them to the Electrical Crane Supervisor.
- Adhere strictly to company safety protocols, utilize required Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), and participate in weekly safety training.
- Collaborate effectively with technicians and supervisors to accomplish assigned engineering tasks.
- Support the onboarding and induction of new team members within the electrical unit.
- Minimum of an HND or Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field.
- At least 3 years of hands-in maintenance experience within a port, manufacturing, or heavy industrial environment.
- Valid HSE Level 1 Certification.
- Proven working knowledge of engineering automation, electrical systems, and equipment materials.
- Ability to work at great heights and possess the physical stamina required for industrial operations.
- Strong problem-solving, communication, and organizational skills with proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
