About the Role
Amaiden Energy Nigeria Limited is a premier provider of technical staffing, inspection, and engineering services to the Nigerian oil and gas industry. We are currently seeking a talented and driven Process Engineer II to join our expanding team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in managing complex engineering projects, guiding junior staff, and ensuring that all technical deliverables meet rigorous global standards and client expectations.
Key Responsibilities- Lead a design team in developing basic process design specifications and oversee engineering contractors during front-end and detailed engineering phases.
- Monitor and guide junior engineers in creating heat and material balances, design flow plans, equipment design, and preliminary hydraulic balances.
- Perform process optimization studies to identify capital and operating cost savings as well as process configuration alternatives.
- Participate actively in Hazard and Operability (HAZOP) reviews for new, modified, or existing plant facilities.
- Provide expert commissioning and start-up assistance for newly installed or modified operational facilities.
- Bachelor of Science (BSc) degree in Chemical Engineering or a closely related engineering discipline.
- Extensive professional experience within the petroleum refining, chemical process industry, or with an engineering contractor serving these sectors.
- Demonstrated capital project development experience with a strong grasp of industry best practices.
- Exceptional ability to adapt to tight deadlines, heavy workloads, and frequently changing project priorities.
- Proficiency in the Microsoft Office suite and fluent written and spoken English communication skills.
