About the Role
Olam Agri is a market-leading, differentiated food, feed, and fiber agri-business with a global origination footprint, processing capabilities, and a deep understanding of market needs built over 33 years. We are currently seeking a skilled Electric and Utilities Manager to join our operations in Nigeria. In this critical role, you will be responsible for managing all electrical systems, power generation, and utility infrastructure to ensure seamless, safe, and cost-effective manufacturing operations. You will lead a talented team of technicians, optimize energy consumption, and maintain compliance with industry standards and environmental regulations.
Key Responsibilities- Oversee the installation, operation, and maintenance of all electrical equipment, power distribution systems, and utility plants.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules to minimize downtime and extend the lifespan of critical assets.
- Monitor energy consumption and execute energy-saving initiatives to reduce operational costs and support sustainability goals.
- Ensure full compliance with local and international health, safety, and environmental (HSE) standards.
- Manage relationships with external power providers, utility vendors, and regulatory bodies.
- Lead, mentor, and upskill the engineering and technical utilities team to foster a high-performance culture.
- Troubleshoot complex electrical and utility failures promptly to restore full operational capacity.
- Bachelor's degree or HND in Electrical Engineering, Electrical/Electronic Engineering, or a related discipline.
- Proven professional experience in electrical maintenance and utilities management within a manufacturing, FMCG, or agri-business environment.
- In-depth knowledge of high and low tension distribution systems, generators, boilers, and water treatment plants.
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and project management skills.
