Key Responsibilities
  • Teach Economics to Junior and Senior Secondary School students within an integrated curriculum framework.
  • Develop comprehensive lesson plans, schemes of work, and innovative instructional materials.
  • Deliver engaging, interactive classroom lessons that promote critical thinking and financial literacy.
  • Assess, record, and evaluate student academic performance regularly through constructive feedback.
  • Prepare students thoroughly for internal and external examinations including WAEC and NECO.
  • Maintain a positive, disciplined, and supportive learning environment for all students.
  • Participate actively in staff meetings, school events, and continuous professional development programmes.
  • Communicate effectively with school management and parents regarding student progress and development.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor Degree in Economics, Education (Economics), or a recognized related field.
  • Minimum of 2 years of proven teaching experience in a reputable secondary school.
  • Strong, practical knowledge of the Nigerian secondary school curriculum.
  • Proficiency in modern teaching methods and educational technology integration.
  • Teachers Registration Council of Nigeria (TRCN) certification is an added advantage.
  • Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
