About the Role
Talent Mine Academy is looking for a dedicated and visionary Economics Teacher to join our mission of providing quality education and better opportunities to children in low-income communities. Key Responsibilities- Design and deliver problem-based learning experiences that connect classroom economic concepts to real-world community challenges.
- Facilitate student-centered lessons utilizing interactive, visual, and practical teaching methodologies.
- Provide personalized instruction and deliver regular, constructive feedback to students, parents, and guardians.
- Assess and document student academic progress utilizing comprehensive project-based evaluation methods.
- Participate actively in peer lesson plan reviews and contribute meaningfully to ongoing curriculum development.
- Engage in regular team meetings and professional development sessions to enhance teaching practices.
- Partner effectively with parents, community stakeholders, and fellow educators to support holistic student growth.
- Uphold Talent Mine Academy child protection policies with unwavering commitment and diligence.
- Model exemplary leadership qualities that inspire and develop students both academically and personally.
- Produce detailed termly reports on student performance and take complete ownership of our institutional mission.
- Bachelor degree in Education, Economics, or a relevant subject area.
- Demonstrated experience working with children, with a preference for prior classroom teaching experience.
- Strong working knowledge and understanding of learner-centered teaching practices.
- Genuine belief in the potential of every child, regardless of their socioeconomic background.
- Strong moral compass and exceptional interpersonal skills for managing diverse student and teacher groups.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency in using Google Suite tools including Docs, Sheets, Slides, and Forms.
