About the Role
Victrius Academy is a newly established, forward-thinking educational institution located in the vibrant Hajj Camp area of Gwagwalada, Abuja. We are currently seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Economics Teacher to join our academic department and inspire the next generation of economic thinkers and leaders.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive Economics lessons in accordance with the school curriculum.
- Assess and monitor student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support to ensure academic success.
- Create a positive, inclusive, and disciplined classroom environment conducive to effective teaching and learning.
- Design and administer tests, quizzes, and examinations to evaluate student comprehension.
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance, performance, and behavioral progress.
- Participate actively in school meetings, departmental planning, professional development, and extracurricular activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student progress and developmental needs.
- Minimum qualification of a B.Ed, B.Sc, B.A, PGDE, NCE, HND, or ND in Economics or a relevant subject area.
- Proven teaching experience or a strong passion for educating secondary school students.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills.
- Strong classroom management skills with the ability to engage diverse learners.
- Sound understanding of modern pedagogical techniques and curriculum implementation.
- Residency in or proximity to Gwagwalada, Abuja is highly desirable.
