We are currently seeking an engaging and analytical Economics Teacher to help students master microeconomic and macroeconomic principles, global markets, and personal finance. The ideal candidate will bring real-world economic concepts to life, empowering students to critically analyze market trends, fiscal policies, and financial systems within a supportive Nigerian educational setting.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and deliver a comprehensive curriculum covering microeconomics, macroeconomics, market structures, international trade, and economic policy.
- Integrate current events, global market trends, and real-world case studies into dynamic classroom discussions.
- Teach students how to interpret economic data, supply and demand graphs, and quantitative economic models effectively.
- Assess student progress through structured examinations, analytical essays, research projects, and case study evaluations.
- Promote critical thinking regarding fiscal and monetary policies, economic ethics, and foundational personal financial literacy.
- Collaborate with the social studies department and maintain proactive communication with parents and school leaders regarding student performance.
- Bachelor's degree in Economics, Social Science Education, Finance, or a related discipline; a Master’s degree is an added advantage.
- Possession of a valid teaching credential or TRCN registration for secondary education in Nigeria.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience teaching secondary or high school economics.
- Proficiency in educational technology, economic simulation tools, and digital learning platforms.
