Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver engaging lectures, tutorials, and practical laboratory sessions in various undergraduate Civil Engineering courses.
  • Design, update, and develop comprehensive curriculum materials that align with modern industry standards and global academic best practices.
  • Supervise undergraduate research projects, dissertations, and student field training activities.
  • Conduct high-quality research, publish findings in reputable peer-reviewed journals, and actively participate in academic conferences.
  • Provide academic advising, mentorship, and career guidance to students to support their personal and professional growth.
  • Participate in departmental meetings, accreditation exercises, committee work, and community service initiatives.
Qualifications
  • Possess a Ph.D. or Master's degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized and accredited university.
  • Demonstrated relevant teaching, research, and professional experience in higher education or the engineering industry.
  • Active membership in relevant professional engineering bodies such as COREN, NIEEE, or NSE is highly desirable.
  • Strong publication record in reputable academic journals and evidence of ongoing scholarly research.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and presentation skills with a strong passion for student mentorship.
