About the Role
Grace Haven School, a renowned center for academic excellence and outstanding results in Lugbe, Abuja, is seeking dedicated and enthusiastic Early Years Teachers. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in shaping the foundational years of children aged 3 to 5 years, fostering a love for learning in a safe, stimulating, and nurturing environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging, age-appropriate lessons focusing on early literacy, numeracy, and phonics.
- Utilize interactive play, practical activities, and hands-on projects to enhance cognitive and motor development.
- Monitor, evaluate, and record individual pupil progress, maintaining accurate and up-to-date assessment portfolios.
- Design and maintain a warm, organized, and visually stimulating classroom equipped with dynamic learning corners and displays.
- Establish and maintain open, regular communication with parents regarding their children's academic and social development.
- Actively participate in school programs, extracurricular events, school competitions, and staff meetings.
- Possession of an NCE, OND, or B.Ed in Early Childhood Education or a closely related discipline.
- Demonstrated expertise and practical experience with Jolly Phonics and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) framework.
- Previous teaching experience in an early years classroom setting will be a distinct advantage.
- Exceptional patience, creativity, high energy levels, and a genuine child-centered teaching approach.
- Strong interpersonal, written, verbal communication, and effective classroom management skills.
- Must reside within Lugbe, Abuja or its immediate environs to ensure reliable and timely commuting.
