About the Role
White Light Montessori School is an authentic private childcare and learning facility located in the heart of Lekki Phase 1, Lagos. Founded in 2016, our institution is dedicated to providing specialized early childhood education by blending pure Montessori methods with a rich British-inspired elementary curriculum for children aged 0 to 12 years. We are currently looking for enthusiastic and dedicated Early Years Teachers to join our dynamic team and foster a nurturing, stimulating environment where every child can thrive.
Key Responsibilities- Plan and implement engaging daily lessons based on authentic Montessori principles and the British-inspired curriculum.
- Create a safe, inclusive, and stimulating classroom environment tailored to the developmental needs of children aged 0 to 6 years.
- Observe, assess, and document individual student progress, maintaining detailed records for parents and school administration.
- Foster children's independence, social-emotional growth, and foundational cognitive skills through hands-on learning activities.
- Collaborate effectively with fellow educators, support staff, and parents to support holistic child development.
- Manage classroom behavior positively and uphold the school's high standards of health, safety, and childcare.
- Relevant academic qualifications in Early Childhood Education, Education, or a related discipline.
- Proven teaching experience within an early years or Montessori setting.
- Deep understanding and practical knowledge of authentic Montessori methodology and British-inspired curricula.
- Exceptional communication, interpersonal, and organizational skills.
- A genuine passion for working with young children and a patient, nurturing demeanor.
- Valid certifications in early childhood development or Montessori pedagogy will be an added advantage.
