About the Role
Living Treasure Academy, a reputable private Christian primary and secondary educational institution located in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, is seeking a passionate and qualified Computer Teacher to join our dynamic academic team. In this role, you will be responsible for inspiring secondary school students, fostering digital literacy, and equipping them with essential technological skills required in today's digital world within a supportive and values-driven environment.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and structured computer science lessons in accordance with the approved secondary school curriculum.
- Teach students how to effectively use computer hardware, software applications, coding fundamentals, and internet safety.
- Manage the school computer laboratory to ensure equipment is properly maintained, secure, and accessible for student practical sessions.
- Assess, monitor, and record students academic progress, providing constructive feedback to support their continuous improvement.
- Supervise practical computer examinations and assist students with ICT-based projects.
- Participate in school extracurricular activities, staff meetings, and professional development programs.
- Possess a minimum of a Bachelor Degree in Computer Science, Education, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Proven experience teaching computer studies or ICT at the secondary school level is highly preferred.
- Strong knowledge of programming languages, basic networking, office productivity tools, and modern educational technology.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
