About the Role
Living Treasure Academy, a premier private Christian educational institution located in Uyo, Akwa Ibom State, is seeking a passionate and qualified Secondary Science Teacher to join our dynamic academic team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in fostering a stimulating learning environment where students can explore scientific concepts, develop critical thinking skills, and achieve their full academic and moral potential.
Key Responsibilities- Plan, prepare, and deliver engaging and comprehensive science lessons aligned with the approved secondary school curriculum.
- Facilitate interactive laboratory practicals and experiments to reinforce theoretical knowledge and scientific inquiry.
- Assess, monitor, and record student progress, providing constructive feedback and targeted support to learners.
- Maintain a positive, safe, and orderly classroom environment conducive to learning and Christian values.
- Participate in departmental meetings, professional development workshops, school events, and extracurricular activities.
- Communicate effectively with parents and guardians regarding student academic performance and behavioral development.
- Bachelor of Education (B.Ed), Bachelor of Science (B.Sc), or equivalent relevant degree in a science discipline.
- Minimum of 2 years of teaching experience in a recognized secondary school setting.
- Strong passion for teaching with a firm understanding of Nigerian and international secondary science curricula.
- Excellent communication, interpersonal, and classroom management skills.
- Alignment with the Christian ethos and values of Living Treasure Academy.
- Residency in or willingness to relocate to Uyo, Akwa Ibom State.
